Pick Your Own Blueberries in Strafford, NH

Summer Storms

We had a severe thunderstorm after we closed up on Friday.  We were lucky no one was here because sometimes it is difficult to get everyone out of the fields and checked out when a thunderstorm occurs.  An open blueberry field is no place to be during a thunderstorm and sometimes they can move in very quickly without a lot of warning.  Our policy is to close the field immediately during a storm.  We want everyone to have a safe and fun picking experience while you are here.

We have had great picking conditions since we opened and we expect that to continue though the month of July and into August.  A big thank you to our local newspaper, Foster’s Daily Democrat, who featured our farm with a picture on the front page this week.  http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080716/GJNEWS_01/706742488&SearchID=73324279110701  We have had many new customers who say they came to pick because of the article.  Thank you to everyone who came out to pick this week.

    Hi there,

We were there yesterday and I loved it! I had never picked blueberries before and had a great time.

Thanks for the tips on freezing- we’re in the process of getting them all frozen.

We had a blast yesterday and we hope to see you again before the season ends!

I enjoyed the beautiful location as much as anything- you have a great farm and so very peaceful.

I think my two boys enjoyed filling their water cups more than their buckets! Maybe next year, they’ll be more interested in trying to fill the buckets all the way up!

What a great way to spend time with your family- spending part of a day at your farm. Good thing you don’t weigh the kids before they go into the fields!!!

    Thank you for the hospitality,
